On August 7, 2019, the 2020 Charter Review Commission (CRC) approved the request to establish the Ethics Concerning Lobbyist as a committee for the 2020 CRC.
After careful consideration of the information presented, the committee voted to recommend no amendments to the Orange County Charter be made with respect to the Ethics Concerning Lobbyists Evaluation Topic. The committee also voted to recommend no amendments to the Orange County Charter be made with respect to the creation of an Ethics Commission separate from the Ethics Advisory Board that currently is provided for under the Orange County Ethics Code.
On March 4, 2020, the CRC accepted the committee’s recommendation to make no changes to the Orange County Charter with respect to the Ethics Concerning Lobbyists Evaluation Topic. The CRC also accepted the committee’s recommendation to make no changes to the Orange County Charter with respect to the creation of an Ethics Commission separate from the Ethics Advisory Board that currently is provided for under the Orange County Ethics Code.
